An FAA license that allows you to pilot an aircraft with more than one passenger above the clouds, at night, and meets the ICAO requirements of international flight. The Private Pilot License can be obtained in the Light Sport Aircraft, or a general aviation aircraft at Orlando Gateway Sport Pilot Center, and we currently have a fleet of aircraft that meet all of your needs for the Private Pilot certification. Whether you are upgrading or starting for the first time, you are the ultimate pilot that demands only the best.

Private Pilot is an excellent license to add to a Sport Pilot license, or a stand alone license. The requirements for the private license: (in a single engine airplane)

A minimum of 40 hours in an airplane appropriate to the category sought of which:

  • 10 hours are solo flight time (5 hours of solo cross country time)
  • 3 hours of instrument training
  • 20 hours of flight training
  • 3 hours of night training
  • 3 hours of preparation for the FAA flight test
  • FAA 3rd class Medical Certification
  • FAA written test for Private Pilots
  • FAA Practical Test (IFlight Test)
  • 17 years of age to obtain FAA license.
  • Read, write and speak the English Language (FAA and ICAO requirements)
